While we have been in Seattle enjoying some cooler weather and breathtaking scenery...

The framing of the cabin began

How exciting it is to see the progress truly take shape!

Good news, we have lumber! Now if it will stop raining the framing can begin!
Scott and I have been busy picking out window sizes, type & color. I'm telling you it is mind boggling how many choices there are. Not to mention the doors. We gave gone round and round trying to decide which folding door system to use. I want to have the largest expanse I can have without breaking the budget.

              Decisions made.....

 Awning windows
The cladding on the outside is a mossy tan color and the inside will be painted to match the the ship lap on the walls.

La Cantina Doors
Our doors will have three panels and will be bronze not white.
On a separate note;
 I'm loving the fencing in this picture! Reminds me of what we have around our pool at home. I'm thinking reclaimed wood for the ranch.

Dutch Entry Door
Similar to this door, however bottom part will have an X detail.

Off to make more decisions.... Have a great day!

July 4th at STRanch

Enjoying the afternoon with family when Ryan drove up in his favorite old truck.......

stopped along the pathway, opened the door, helped  Madison out, where he began to serenade her with the song from Train, called "Marry Me" as they walked up towards the newly poured foundation for our cabin....

Reaching the spot where he had previously written in the foundation, "Will You Marry Me", knelt down and professed his love for her!
