one step forward - two steps back
Here we see ST fixing the hardware on our barn doors that the carpenter did incorrectly, causing the bolts to scrape against the walls! Also, the painters came in to do touch ups and used the wrong sheen of paint. Don't even get me started on the upstairs steam bath! No hopes of being moved in for our anniversary.

My master bath is almost finished!
Things I have learned while building:
1. Take pictures of ALL the walls and ceilings before the sheet rock go's up!
Example, our sheet rockers went over two electrical outlets and one hvac vent. Without the pictures....who knows!
2. NEVER think anyone working in your house will use common sense, it truly is best if you are present every single minute of every day.
Example, stone guys took it upon themselves to turn the water supply to the house on and ended up flooding part of the floors due to the fact that the powder bath plumbing was not fully installed. Did I mention the floors are wood?
3. Do not order furniture according the the time table your builder gives you....he lies.
4. Have a sense of humor!
